7th December is the date when we can change the future of Telengana. Depending upon our choice or liking, we can have a new assembly altogether. But are we ready to Vote ?
1. Am I ready to take pride in voting ?
2. Should I think that this is our assembly ?
3. Will I say that I am responsible for choosing/not choosing the candidate ?
4. Am i interested in seeing my constituency develop ?
5. Will i not be responsible, if any wrong candidate is selected ?
If the answer to above questions is YES, then all the citizens of Telengana are proud of you. Its voting day and not holiday. You will be surprised to learn that several of our areas in Serilingampally had voting percent less than 15 !!!!
Gachibowli and Madhapur areas fall under Cyberabad and mostly "highly literate" people reside here. Still the voter turnout was not very feeble. Whom we vote or whom we reject is our decision, but if we don't vote and wrong people are elected, then this is our fault. Any how many times do we want to be at fault ?
Selection of candidate should not be based on what an individual will get : a water connection, or build a FOB near my house etc. it has to be holistic development of the constituency. One of the example is the FOB in between Malaysian township and the hitech-city railway station. Hardly people use the same. How much money of tax payers is wasted and that also for no reason. This could have been built somewhere near JNTU ? Our approach in selection should be development, peace and harmony of the constituency as a whole.
There are so many such examples to give, but while we criticize the action, we should also own the responsibility of not voting or voting for a wrong candidate, just criticizing will not do any good.
Constitution of INDIA has given us a chance change the fortune of our kids and constituency. Lets avail it. If you have come from other parts of INDIA, do not think that you are not going to stay here or why should you bother ? You are here in Telengana and its very much integral part of yours. You are responsible for its integral growth too.
Let us Vote and be the Change...
